He was mortified.
I mean, he was seriously upset that he couldn't find the tooth and was searching all over the basement for it. He assumes that since he noticed it was gone while he was in the basement, then he must have lost it in the basement. My wife and I both think he probably swallowed it while he was eating his waffles.
Turns out, he was upset because he thought the Tooth Fairy wouldn't come if he lost the tooth. My wife calmed him down and told him he could write a note for the Tooth Fairy. Here's what he wrote...

When I went in after he was asleep to borrow the note and scan it, I noticed he had added the little note on the bottom that says, "flip paper over." When I flipped it over, I found he had written this on the back...

I thought that was pretty funny.
My wife circled "YES" on the front. On the back, she wrote that she used her tooth scanner and found it in his tummy. He thought that was pretty funny and was very happy with the $2 the Tooth Fairy left for him.

That's funny. But, holy inflation! I think I got about a quarter per tooth!
I have heard of people getting $5! I don't understand why the TF pays more for some teeth. :-) We asked his BF in Hawaii what the TF brought him and ES was happy that the TF brought him the same amount.
Parents of the Year award for you two. Too sweet. :)
That is very cute!
