Once again, I ask the same etiquette question as last year. Do you place your entire order with the first one to ring your door bell or try to spread the wealth?
My wife was active in the Girl Scouts all the way through college. She usually tries to drop the whole order on one lucky girl but often fails.
ReplyDeletePass me that box of Samoas!
I don't think I've ever had one come to the door. Instead it seems that parents around here try make the sales for them.. at work and by phone. It's just not the same.
ReplyDeleteI usually place a big order with the first one that comes by because that way I am covered if she is the only one. But if by chance another girl (or girls) show up, I'll order a box or two from them as well because I just feel bad turning away a girl scout. I have learned that cookies freeze very well!
ReplyDeletewell... check their fat & etc. content: http://www.fitsugar.com/1106800
ReplyDeleteOf course my favorites come in at the worst! That's why I hide from anything dressed in a small uniform pushing cookies. :)
They do freeze well! When I was pregnant with ES the Thin Mints (my FAVORITE) gave me heartburn so we hid a box in the freezer and found it when we were cleaning it out to move (3 weeks after ES was born) and I yelled MINE MINE MINE! They tasted just as good as when they were fresh, but no heart burn. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy wife and daughter were girl scouts. Due to my delicate [fat] condition, I just give the scout leader a five dollar bill and tell her "Pretend I have bought five boxes of cookies. This money is for the troop."
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is - BRING 'EM ON!!!
